Library Catalogue - Search Limits

Search limits can be applied to three areas:

• Limit by Location
• Limit by Format
• Limit by Publication Date

Limit by Location

Limiting by location restricts the search to one or more locations (hold down the ctrl key to select more than one location).

Limit by Format

Limiting by format restricts the search results to a particular format. Select one or more formats and then choose to either include or exclude within that selection of formats. (e.g. don't include DVDs in the results).

Limit by Publication Date

Limiting by date restricts the search results to a specified date range.  In the left hand box, replace YYYY with the starting year.  In the right hand box, replace YYYY with the ending year.  The search will include results across this time span. To search a single year, enter that year in both the right hand and left hand boxes.

Clearing Search Limits

After setting search limits, they will remain set for any following searches.  To remove any search limits, click on .
