CQU staff and students

THE LIBRARY WILL AIM TO
WE ASK YOU TO
  • collect and manage resources to support teaching, learning and research
  • respect the resources provided, help conserve them and notify staff if they are damaged
  • provide equitable access to resources and facilities
  • return all resources in good condition by the end of the loan periods, or earlier if recalled
  • provide technical instruction and support
  • utilise technology and resources in a legal, ethical and considerate manner
  • maintain an environment conducive to teaching, learning and research
  • observe regulations on noise, food and drink
  • assist clients to develop information skills as a foundation for independent, lifelong learning
  • take advantage of opportunities offered for learning information skills
  • provide skilled assistance to access, evaluate, use and manage resources
  • access, evaluate, use and manage resources independently whenever possible
  • continue to improve collections and services
  • assist the Library in the evaluation of its collections and  services

 


 

CQU academic staff

THE  LIBRARY WILL AIM TO PROVIDE
WE ASK YOU TO
  • access to key and high demand material
  • submit up-to-date book and course resource online lists in time to allow the resources to be made available
  • adequate access to information resources for new courses
  • provide advice on new course developments so that Resource Subcommittee proposals can be properly prepared within approval timelines

 

 


Associate members and other approved visitors

THE LIBRARY WILL AIM TO PROVIDE
WE ASK YOU TO
  • access to many of the Library's resources
  • recognise that licensing provisions and/or high demand might restrict access to some resources to CQU staff and students only
  • advice on using the Library
  • be considerate of other clients' needs
  • access to local and regional resources
  • observe specific conditions pertaining to local and regional collections
