Description

Course Resources Online have been selected to complement courses offered at CQU and are made available in consultation with the relevant academic staff.  For more information about CROs please see the information for academics.

There are two ways of linking to CROs.  The first uses an openURL to link to the catalogue record for the article, the second links directly to the article itself.

A link to the catalogue record, which contains the current link to the article, is less likely to change and therefore less likely to need editing in successive course offerings.

LINKING TO THE CATALOGUE RECORD

1. Go to the Library Catalogue
    
2. Under Search by Collection, click on Course Resources Online.
    
3. In the first search box, enter the Course Code to be searched and click on Search.
   
   
    
4. From the resulting list, find the CRO you would  like to link to and click on Librarians Record.
   
   
    
5. Find the tag marked 035.  Copy the corresponding Data, excluding the /a.  eg, from the example below only copy CRO174.
   
   
    
6. Paste the data into the following text box

8. Your final URL will be:

LINKING DIRECTLY TO THE CRO

1. Go to the Library Catalogue
    
2. Under Search by Collection, click on Course Resources Online.
    
3. In the first search box, enter the Course Code to be searched and click on Search.
    
4. From the resulting list, find the CRO you would  like to link to.
    
5. Copy the link displayed in the "View Online Here" field of the catalogue record for the CRO, for example:
   
   
    
6. This link can be used as is.
