If you live outside the CQU Campus Postcode areas, the Library will photocopy or print out articles from journals or pages from books and newspapers (providing the requests comply with the Copyright Act) available at CQU Libraries and send them to you.
1. Please check the CQU Library Catalogue before requesting photocopies.
Why is this important?
- To see if the Library holds the journals in full text electronic format. If so, you can download the article immediately. Remember if searching for journals in the catalogue to search by journal title (not article title).
- To see if the Library holds the item. Off-Campus services only supplies items held in the CQU Library Collection.
Note: Higher degree research students and Professional Doctorate students are eligible for inter-library loans. Faculties may allocate funding for Honours students. Please contact your Faculty Liaison Librarian for more information.
2. Fill out and submit the online Photocopy Request Form. Please complete the form in full or your request may take longer to process. A separate form is needed for each journal article or portion of a book.
You can submit a request electronically, by mail or by fax. Photocopy requests are not accepted over the phone.
You can request how you want your photocopied material to be delivered - by email, mail, express post or facsimile.
Photocopies and print outs of full text articles are 11 cents per page.
Printouts of lists of citations (references) are free unless they are faxed.
Material will be faxed on request for an additional 20 cents per page.
Within Australia, express delivery of photocopied material is available for $9.90 at your request.
Extra postage is charged to destinations outside Australia.
An invoice will be sent to you at the end of each half year if the total of photocopies, faxes, printouts and delivery exceeds $10. Amounts less than $10 will be carried over into the second half of the year.
Failure to pay library invoices will result in suspension of your library privileges or other university sanctions.
Photocopies are usually despatched within two days of recept of requests, although it can take up to one week to process at the busiest times. When planning for assignments don't forget to plan for postage time.
All requests are subject to the Copyright Act 1968.
