"Information networks straddle the world. Nothing remains concealed. But the sheer volume of information dissolves the information. We are unable to take it all in." (Gunter Grass - interview in the New Statesman and Society, 22 June 1990)

Being able to control the information you gather is one of the key skills required in this world of information - especially for those undertaking higher degree studies or research. This tutorial is designed to introduce you to some of the concepts relating to information management, as well as provide practical suggestions and strategies for managing the information you find.

A number of academic staff and librarians from various universities have provided personal anecdotes and comments about their information management practices.

These are in the form of audio files Headphone image
Transcripts of their comments are also provided Transcript image

Technology requirements: This tutorial requires QuickTime to listen to the audio files.
