Audio transcript "I've used Endnote with my studies, and find it just wonderful. It took some time to enter in all of my existing references, but now they're in I never have to retype them again. I just love being able to automatically create a bibliography!! I also enjoy being able to download references from electronic databases, and then automatically import them into my Endnote database (or library). Anything that saves me typing (or retyping) is a bonus. I don't just use Endnote to store the references or citations. I also note down specific quotes, and make my own comments in the Notes field . I also add relevant keywords or terms for each record, in their Keyword field. I keep a separate list of the keywords that I use - to help me be consistent, and to make it easier when I search Endnote. Endnote lets you search in any field (in your library or files), so it is easy to locate all the records pertaining to say 'information literacy' - and then create a bibliography from them. When I am working with my Endnote files, I basically have 1 or 2 large libraries. My research areas overlap, so I find it easier to work with these 1 or 2 large files, and search within them when I need to locate specific references. I know of others who create a separate library for each topic or project that they're working on. There is no right or wrong way of using Endnote. You need to explore the program to see what works best for you." Health Science Liaison Librarian
