Stages in developing a literature review.

In this section we have used a seed as the analogy.  As you read through the stages involved in developing a literature review you can imagine the growth and development of a seed.

There are 9 stages in developing a literature review.  These are:
  • Selecting the topic
  • Setting the topic in context
  • Looking at information sources
  • Using information sources
  • Getting the information
  • Organising information (information management)
  • Positioning the literature review
  • Writing the literature review
