Reciprocal Borrowing - CQU Students

Reciprocal borrowing for CQU staff and students at other tertiary libraries in Queensland and Australia

CQU students and staff may borrow from other Australian University libraries. These privileges are only extended to borrowers who visit other libraries in person and are always granted subject to conditions of the host library. You will need to contact your chosen library to find out their reciprocal borrowing conditions. Use the Australian Libraries Gateway to find your library.

There are two Reciprocal Borrowing Schemes available:

To enrol you will need an identification card from CQU.  Some libraries will charge a fee for registration. Membership will be for the current calendar year only.

By requesting reciprocal borrowing status you indicate your willingness to abide by the rules and borrowing conditions of the library which is providing the service.
Under the terms of the Reciprocal Borrower's Agreement CQU Library indemnifies the host library against any losses incurred by CQU students. Payments made on behalf of CQU students will be posted to the student account in the university finance system and lending privileges will be suspended until all debts are paid.

Reciprocal borrowing is a privilege, not a right.
