History of Rockhampton newspapers

Rockhampton Bulletin EST. 9 July 1861 Name changes: Morning Bulletin (1878) *became a daily in 1873*		Northern Argus EST. 3 January 1863 Name changes: Daily Northern Argus (1875) The Daily Record (1897) Evening News (1922) *became a daily in 1875*
Published a weekly called The Capricornian EST. 1875		Published a weekly called The Artesian EST. 1919
	In 1929, the owners of the Morning Bulletin (the Dunn Family) bought the Evening News. The Capricornian and The Artesian were merged to become the Central Queensland Herald.
The Morning Bulletin continues to be published today.		The Evening News ceased publication in 1941.
