In 1929, the owners of the Morning Bulletin
(the Dunn Family)
bought the
Evening News. The Capricornian and The Artesian were merged to become the Central Queensland Herald.
 
 

The Morning Bulletin continues to be published today.
 

The Evening News
ceased publication
in 1941.
